It’s five years ago this month that BitWise officially set up shop. We’ve come a long way in a short time. Since our “birth” in 2008, we’ve gone from offering a single controller, the BC4, to developing a completely customizable automation and control platform. That platform includes three different controllers, our Project Editor software, and control apps for iPhones, iPads, and Android devices. As we’ve continued to build new products and software, our popularity has grown: our automation systems are now sold in 33 countries world-wide.
Five years ago, even founders Lance Beck and Mark Buster might have had a hard time dreaming of the growth BitWise would experience. Their magic formula was hard work and long hours swirled with lucky timing, but it resulted in the creation of one of the most advanced home control system currently on the market. That’s pretty good for half a decade!
With all the improvements and additions we’ve made to the BitWise team and product line in the last five years, we decided our anniversary was a great opportunity to update our logo and website, too.
The same meticulous care we take toward the design and construction of our products was applied to refreshing the BitWise brand. For our logo alone, we reviewed 40 mock-ups and conducted more than 150 revisions to get everything right, but we think the final version reflects the way our company has changed and grown.
How will these BitWise changes impact you? You’ll notice that in addition to the logo, our new website features a simplified navigation bar so you can find information more easily, a new blog (which you’re reading!) that will share news and updates, and a streamlined portal for our dealers that’s coming soon. And it’s easier than ever to get in touch with us using our contact page, as well as to connect on Twitter and Facebook.
We hope you’re as excited as we are about the new look and feel of our website. Mark hints that the redesign is only the first of several developments coming from BitWise during this milestone year:
“The fact that we’ve made it to the five year mark feels pretty amazing,” Mark admits. “I can’t believe how far we’ve come. We’ve got a lot of big things planned, and I think we’re all pretty sure that our fifth year in business will be our best one yet.”
