BCX Series Expansion Modules
BitWise Controls BCX series expansion modules allow you to create custom solutions for virtually any automation, control, or monitoring application. Each module provides a different set of hardware connections, and is plug-and-play compatible with the BC4 enclosure.
BCX-1 (RS232, GPIO, Relays, IR)
The BCX-1 is a multi-purpose expansion module that provides a wide array of interface types.

RS232: The BCX-1 has a single three-wire serial port, which can be controlled via our command protocol, or in ″Pass-Through″ mode via a dedicated TCP socket. Using Pass-Through mode with our Virtual Serial Port driver software will allow your PC to see the BCX-1 as a local COM port installed on your computer!

GPIO: Two highly configurable GPIO (general purpose input/output) ports are present on the BCX-1. These ports can be configured to act as digital inputs, analog inputs, or digital outputs. A third (internal) GPIO port can be configured to act as a counter or frequency input to measure activity on GPIO 1. This combined with adjustable trigger levels, reporting delays, and min/max/current value let you monitor exactly what’s going on with your connected devices.

Relays: Two on-board SPDT relays provide mechanically switched control of drop-down projector screens, security zones, or anything else that requires a pulsed or latched contact closure.

IR: One of the greatest features of the BCX-1 is its powerful and flexible on-board Infrared Engine. IR signals are routable to any of 4 individual emitter ports, or our built-in IR Blaster output.
BCX-2 (IR) coming soon
The BCX-2 is an expansion module specifically designed for network control of IR devices. 8 individual IR emitter ports, 1 on-board IR Blaster output, a built-in IR Learner, and our powerful IR Engine make the BCX2 the right choice for networked IR control.
